In the vibrant heart of Atomic Barracks, Accra, Ghana, a young girl named Faustina Boamah grew up surrounded by the buzz of ambition and hard work. Her family’s relentless pursuit of excellence ignited a fire within her, guiding her on a path that would transform countless lives. Faustina’s journey began with a love for literature, exploring poetry and spoken word at Nkawkaw Senior High School. Yet, her family’s nudge toward nursing unveiled a calling she couldn’t ignore. It was at Holy Family Hospital-Nkawkaw, assisting a young woman in her care, where Faustina’s passion for midwifery truly took flight. Witnessing her patient’s health and spirits lift was an eye-opening experience that cemented her path. With a diploma in Midwifery from the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Atibie-Kwahu, and a Registered Midwife certificate from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Faustina’s career began with a mission: to empower and educate. Her early days were marked by visits to children’s homes, where she distributed sanitary pads and spread awareness, sowing seeds of change in rural communities.
